There are some that say Calvin Johnson reigns supreme as the best wide out in the game. I can't debate it and won't debate it. Very well maybe true. But I want to make a case for Julio Jones.
Before the 2013 Season ending injury. Jones was leading the league in receptions 41 catches 580 receiving yards. However in 2014 Jones has regained his spot as NFL top receiver. He leads the league in receptions with 40 and yardage.
Bears defensive coordinator Mel Tucker was quoted saying...
" We have to make sure we know where he is at all times."
"We have to be sound in whatever that coverage is when he's a target to have a chance to contain him. And its going to take rush and coverage working together to try and limit his explosiveness.
Julio Jones has quickly become a guy no defensive back wants to be left alone with. He commands double teams and definitely feared.
