Sunday Nights game was a pretty dull affair to say the least. Neither Broncos nor Lions were able to get in a rhythm as both teams traded punts and turnovers in the first half.
Peyton Manning got into a rhythm and pulled away from Detroit. Manning was 31 of 42 for 324 yards 2 touch downs and 1 interception. Demarious Thomas had 9 catches for 92 yards and 1 touchdown.
Matthew Stafford was 31 of 45
with 282 passing yards, 1 touchdown and two interceptions in the game
The Lions offensive line struggled mightily in protection again as the Broncos defensive line pressured Stafford all night long. Broncos combined for 4 sacks in the 24 - 12 loss.
Calvin Johnson didn't have the game Lions expected. If the Lions are going to have a chance to salvage their season. Johnson has got to get back to dominant ways. Offensive line (of course) is gonna have to do a better job protecting Stafford. Hopefully they can establish a running game to help take the pressure off of Matthew Stafford. If not it's going to be a long year for the Lions.
